A discussion on the draft Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (ISSS) of Sofia was held on 1 September 2015, at 13:30 hrs., in Park Hotel Moskva, Sofia. This is the third event under the Quintuple Helix project in the preparation of the strategy for smart specialization of Sofia Municipality. The project is funded and supported by Sofia Municipality Europe Programme, together with the Fund for Innovations in Culture.

Mrs. Svetlana Lomeva presented the draft ISSS of Sofia, which aims to promote smart and sustainable urban development through the implementation of innovative activities in the public sector, carried out in cooperation among citizens, public organizations, enterprises and local authorities. The discussion was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Prof. Kostadin Kostadinov, and Mrs. Zlatina Karova - Director of the Science Directorate at the Ministry of Education.
