The first 24-hour hackathon of Sofia Municipality is already a fact. Twenty teams succeeded in managing their presentations and creating minimum viable products which they demonstrated to the audience and jury.

The five teams that qualified for the final presentation before an audience were: ABD Crew, Squad, El Romantico, Sportify, ELMO.

First prize - 10 000 leva provided by the Fund for Innovations at Sofia Municipality, with the support of Mobiltel: ELMO team: Vladislav Donchev, Boryana Nenova, Ilian Dimitrov, Elitsa Stefanova, Kristina Ivanova, Anna Ivanova, New Bulgarian University

Project: Your Sofia. Multilingual application for smart phones, with which everyone has the opportunity to search and find information, create their own routes to the place where they want to go, in accordance with their interests and opportunities.

Second prize: Sportify team: Panka Mireva, Atanas Djilianov, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"

Project: Sportify. Crowdsourcing platform for sports events and initiatives in Sofia, in which everyone can choose where and what to practice according to their age and interests.

Third prize: Squad team: George Peytchev, Kalina Doneva, Slava Monova, Martin Vetzkov Martin Dimov, New Bulgarian University

Project: I want to be. Programme for professional orientation of students in secondary education, to introduce them to different vocational fields within the framework of the learning process with participation of mentors and volunteers.

Project: MONUMENT. The landmarks of Sofia are equipped with NFC chip signboards. By putting the smart phone closer to the signboard, it will give us full details, photos and videos about the place where we are in just seconds.

Project: Historical adventure. Interactive map of monuments and cultural sites in Sofia. Contests for detecting monuments using a smart watch. Application for smart phones, with which students compete in teams in exploring the historical figures and places in Sofia.

The five finalists receive awards from Mobiltel, Webit, Superhosting, Innovation Starter, Publishing House “Kragozor” and “Promyanata” Foundation.
